We at Salt Point were thrilled to have the opportunity to help the park maintain its historic Hilltop House. Initially built in the early 1960s by Dorothy Reister, this house is a vital part of the park’s legacy, telling the story of its founders while offering a space for community engagement.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Central New York, Stone Quarry Hill Art Park is a place where art, nature, and community come together in a truly unique way. Founded in 1991 by artists Dorothy and Bob Reister, this one-of-a-kind nonprofit organization has grown into a vibrant hub where artists continue contributing to the evolving landscape. Every year, visitors can experience large-scale, experimental outdoor installations that continuously change, inviting guests to witness the artistic process from concept to completion.
The journey from a standard 4-bedroom home to a custom-designed family house was a labor of love and creative vision. By carefully considering their needs and dreams, we were able to help this family achieve a home that perfectly fit their lifestyle. This whole house remodel wasn't just about adding square footage; it was about turning a house into a space where cherished memories would be created for years to come.

How do you say it? Niche or Nesh?
In construction, a niche can be described as a shallow recess in a wall. The word originates from the French and translates to literally mean “recess.” We build with niches often when we work with bathrooms and showers. A current shower trend utilizes niches to create extra built-in storage to hold the assorted bottles of bathing toiletries.
